With the current economic climate, people are visiting resturants a lot less
then they used to. I can give previous customers a reason to return and new
customers a reason to come to you.
Decrease customer perceived waiting time
The longest time for a restaurant customer is between placing the order and
getting the first course because good fresh food takes time to cook.
The fact that you cook to order is probably one of the main reasons they have
come to you initially but with a busy restaurant cooking times can increase.
This is where I come in. By spending a few minutes performing some close-up
magic at their table they will feel like that have been served almost as
soon as they placed their order.

Believe it or not, people will wait after the meal to see "just one more
trick". Naturally they won't jsut sit there, they will order coffee and
liquers so that the magician can see they are ready for some entertainment.
